Steubenville Pike Auto, Inc. gifts its 10th vehicle!
PITTSBURGH December 21, 2022- On December 21st, Steubenville Pike Auto, Inc. of Robinson Township, in coordination with Heroes Supporting Heroes, gifted its tenth vehicle in six years to Jennifer Colarossi of Natrona Heights, PA.
“Jennifer is a true hero,” said Steubenville Pike Auto owner, Jason Pottle. “A few weeks ago, my wife and I were watching the news and saw the story of how Jennifer helped to save a man and his wife from their burning home after having just lost her own vehicle to a car-fire only days before. As soon as we saw the story, we thought Jennifer would be a great candidate for our SPARC program.”
Ms. Colarossi relies on her vehicle for her job delivering morning papers. One day on her way home from a shopping trip, she noticed that her car was smoking. She pulled over and soon the vehicle was engulfed in flames. She lost her vehicle and everything she had in it, including her purse and recent store purchases. Only days later, while on her morning delivery route, she noticed smoke coming from a house. She did something not everyone would and approached the house to see if there was anything she could do to help. When she got to the door there was a man who stated that he needed help with his wife. Jennifer then did the unthinkable and followed the man into the burning home and helped to pull his wife to safety.
Steubenville Pike Auto is fortunate to be able to provide this benefit to the community. “We are so grateful that we can help Ms. Colarossi with a reliable vehicle that she can use for work and to transport her family. We are aware that this wouldn’t be possible without the trust, loyalty and business of our customers,” commented Pottle.
Ms. Colarossi received a refurbished Ford Focus with new brakes and tires, a full tank of gas, oil change and all scheduled maintenance and new state inspection performed by Steubenville Pike Auto, Inc. All the registration and transfer fees were paid for by Heroes Supporting Heroes.

OUR PROGRAM CONTINUES TO CHANGE LIVES ONE VEHICLE AT A TIME!
ROBINSON TOWNSHIP December 12, 2018 – This December’s recipient of a used vehicle from Steubenville Pike Auto, Inc. under its SPARC (Steubenville Pike Auto Repair Charity) program is Tamara Wagner of Pittsburgh.
“The committee once again had a very difficult choice to make. There are many deserving people in our area. Good people who work hard but still have trouble making ends meet,” commented Jason Pottle, owner of Steubenville Pike Auto, “Tamara Wagner is one such person.”
Tamara Wagner has held her current job for thirteen years and began working a second job to help her family with their needs. In 2015, her daughter and son-in-law lost their home and their dogs in a fire. Tamara picked up a third job to help her daughter’s family get back on its feet. Her daughter and friends say that Tamara never complained or felt sorry for herself, she just kept pushing on and moving forward. Wagner continued working three jobs until she suffered some health complications in late 2017. This change caused her financial troubles and she was unable to keep her vehicle. When she recovered enough to work again, Tamara was forced to rely on friends and family to get her places. Ms. Wagner was forced to quit all but her main job because her home is not on a bus route. Tamara was consistently relying on her neighbor for rides to and from work and with the weather getting ready to turn she was getting very nervous about continuing to ask for rides. Her daughter, Courtni, saw a change in Tamara and became concerned that her mother was losing faith that her situation would ever improve. Without her mother’s knowledge, Courtni submitted a nomination form to SPARC.
Ms. Wagner was very surprised to receive a call from Steubenville Pike Auto notifying her that she was to be the recipient of a completely refurbished used vehicle. On December 7th, Tamara Wagner was presented with a Buick Lucerne from Steubenville Pike Auto Sales. Heroes Supporting Heroes paid for all of Ms. Wagner’s transfer fees and registration. We wish the Wagner Family and all of our customers at Steubenville Pike Auto a Very Merry Christmas!!

“OUR PROGRAM IS CHANGING LIVES ONE VEHICLE AT A TIME!”
ROBINSON TOWNSHIP December 20, 2017 - Steubenville Pike Auto, Inc. in Robinson Township is pleased to announce the recipient of the fourth vehicle given under its SPARC (Steubenville Pike Auto Repair Charity) program! While filling out the papers to transfer ownership of the vehicle, Shannon spoke of the snowball effect that having a reliable vehicle will have on her and her family. Steubenville Pike Auto, Inc. is so excited to have been a part of creating that snowball.
Steubenville Pike Auto, Inc. currently gives away two vehicles per year through its SPARC program. Heroes Supporting Heroes, once again graciously paid the taxes and state transfer fees for Ms. Miller’s vehicle. “Our program is truly changing lives one vehicle at a time!” Jason Pottle, President of Steubenville Pike Auto, Inc., commented.
